Today met with shihao, jingxiang, zongyang and bjorn at Parkway to 'celebrate' my birthda.. actually not really celebrate, but more of a gathering.. hahas..

throughout the day, i saw:

2)Delvis who just came from Tanjin's house (he bladed the whole nite!)

4)Some ccls (Shuhadah + Huixian + Cheeliang + Yangjun + Wingyin?) I not sure if i rmb correctly. :/ and huixian told me that they don't know whether it was me or my bro! >.<

and when i went to a JC's open house.. a few seniors mistook me for my bro..

After O levels

Yesterday was EXCO outing, first time all of us wore exco shirt.. hahaha!

Watched Madagascar 2, and i found that it was a nice movie. Although its a 'cartoon' movie, its really funny and heartwarming. Wished I had watched the first movie, then can understand even more! Poor Henry watched it for the third time (cos the last 2 times people just buy ticket for him).

After that, went to eat Yuki n Yaki. Suprisingly, Kevin 'not up to standard' in buffet yesterday.. Must be the image of the new dm in front of him! HAHAHA, pregancy kit test, anyone buying?

The girls decided to splash an extra $2 for ice cream buffet, while the guys, including FK (fashion king, not f*ck) xiankai went to follow Kevin to buy some clothes. FK really know fashion man.

Prelim results out. Can say that I'm not happy with all 8 subjects.
Not at my peak, nowhere near it.
Thank goodness there's no 1st 3 months! If not must follow Bano, go NJC for 1st 3 months.. That's right, No JC!

But seriously, i don't really find the prelims super duper hard. They're just ~~slightly hard~~ a whole new level harder than TYS questions. But dang it, everyone made too many careless mistakes. ZZZ, press calculator can also press wrongly.

At least it's just a pitstop, for us to fix anything wrong. All that's left is just a straight road down. And the checkered flag is still up for grabs. (LOL, F1 fever!)

I would salute you if:

You can get L1R5 less than 10 points for prelim, but must count in:

Language: must use english (sorry lah, must be fair to those without HCL)
Humans: must use combined humanities (sorry lah, no geog or lit!)

Teacher's day performance was great, though i screwed up :(

Like everyone else, i'm going to thank everyone in the class for their support, be it physically, mentally or emotionally : D

Went to watch fireworks with Max, Zongyang, Chowhan, Qianni,Cherie , Ashry (Cherie's friend), Kristine, Jason (Kristine's friend) at Esplanade.

Chowhan and Zongyang had 'koop'-ed place for all of us, and the rest of us had a super hard time making it to esplanade (road blocked, city link blocked), by going 1 big round around the city, and not listening to the police who tried not to allow more ppl into the opposite side.

fireworks was nothing compared to beijing, but hey, SG fireworks can be witnessed right here in SG!

The past few days have been great! (:

SOB

Sense of belonging project was great! Thought that we won't be make to have a decent presentation.

So what did we do? Make use of what we had, and use time efficiently.

Decided to do a video to summarise the plot, since got Wenhui's pro video editing skills.

Thus, with Delvis staring as Charlie, a video was made!

The next day, presentation was great (i feel), with a self-made video none of the groups did. especially since it was all one day's work!

Miss K's photo was edited in photoshop to give it a more inkblot look.

the 'Whatever it takes' badge was given a cameo, since everyone can relate to it, LOL

the bulk of the NGs came with Wenhui and Delvis. Both just couldn't stop laughing during a dinner scene!

Communism

On thurs, Mr Chua encouraged people to say the pledge with pride, just before saying the pledge, i.e. just after tying the flag.

the result? the whole school said the pledge super loudly.

Could hear Miss K talking to Ms Kaur after the pledge, "communism's like this!"

on fri (x-country day), finally sang (as in, really sing with pride) national anthem in 10 years, the schl song in 4 yrs.

patriotism or communism? you decide.

Decided not to walk throughout the x-country, and got a 70 in position, up from the previous years' 130!

Lousy,I Know. But must pei he with the school ma, so half walk half slow jog (i.e. super slow jog)with Max.

Step down on monday was full of emotions.

Didn't expect the whole stepdown to be THAT emotional.

Last year’s stepdown (for us it was step up), only Jamie cried, and she couldn’t speak anymore.

This year, Kevin was affected by his strong feelings to the board, but he still carried on talking. Those words make me think of the path of my SC journey.

It seems only a few days ago that we were still in sec 1, with Zhiyu as our section leader. He was the one who tried to make me open up and speak; the only one who was cheerful all the time. He was a truly great section leader, and if there was one senior I really looked up to, it was him. Zhiyu, Jieru, Zhiying, Shunta, Jocelyn, I really miss you guys!

It seems only a few days ago that we were in the Sheena camp. It was still so clear in my head; the first time us Sec 2s truly bonded. The few whole days spent with them was unforgettable. Be it playing soccer during the break, doing some hands-on activity, or playing the games, it was such a great camp, one where we truly learned. Bonding sessions was really amazing. Remember how we removed the batteries from the clock as an excuse to seniors not to sleep early? Yea, those were the days.

from the time we removed the batteries, EXCO 07/08 started to bond.

It seems only a few days ago that Bano and Kanglong had taken over as SL. With them, it was especially horny, especially when guys were the majority in the section. They showed me the way of a councillor and joked with us whenever he patrolled. Haha, and I can remember their way of avoiding Top 7 to slack during duty! Bano, Kanglong, Jessica, Minsi, I really miss you guys!

It seems only a few days ago that we were still planning March Camp. No experience, no skills; we had to learn and master them. And to think of it, it was you, CEO of KKholdings, who made it possible. Without you, I wouldn’t have progressed so far. I haven’t really thanked you for it. I know that just a little post like this can’t really contain my feelings, but just thanks, thanks for what you’ve done for me.

MCC ' 07!

It seems only a few days ago that we were in the staff room, cutting coupons, pasting stickers etc. How we tried our best for the school, even late in the night. From tech block to old block, we were busy doing signages and stuff. The next day, even before 7am, we had to blow the balloons. So tiring, but we still persevered on.

Behind those smiles were those sleepless nights.

Taman Negara, it's still the best overseas trip.

Remember this board outing?

Those events we planned those camps we planned, those duties we did. I’ll never forget anyone of them. Those outings we had together, those meetings we had together, I’ll never forget them, ‘cos there will only be the one and only EXCO 07/08.

Today

i admit, photo taking is meant to be happy. but this year, it is the exact opposite.

instead of having individual section photos, we only had full board photo and not-full-exco photo.

is this what we deserve? especially after 4 years in it, and to find out that there would be no photo with our sections? i can still remember the fun we had with seniors whenever its time to take section photo. surely its not having prestige, if 18 photos are taken away from us?

EXCO photo was missing one person. just because he was not given a chance.
Imagine being selected to play in the world cup, but the coach tells you a minute before kick-off you're not taking part in the biggest game of your life, the final.
It's already a few more weeks to step-down, a year of being among the leaders of the school.
Surely there is no need to give us more pain by letting him missing out a once in a lifetime opportunity, wearing blazer and all?

Such a day to forget.

Finally I have some time to blog.

Everyday has a story to be told.

Thursday 5 June

School ended early, and somehow, i chose to go for CO farewell party.

I waited from 11.45 to 2.30pm for it to start, and hoped that i would it worth the wait.

Well, it was at it's best, disappointing, compared to the party when i was in sec 1 and the one i was in sec 2.

I can still remember them.

Sec 1 - Video of CO, personalized gifts for everyone in comm. Special event included guessing the baby photos of seniors. Juniors (of the sec4s then) were crying, seniors had to 'console' them.

Sec 2- Powerpoint of CO. Special event included guessing seniors imitating animal voices.

Sec 3- Was it the celebrating of CO nite success or something? lol, bad memory. anyway, i still remember signing the cards of all huqin seniors.

Sec 4- Previously, every exchange had a photo taken. Not this time though. And there was no special event. Some juniors were even sleeping. A farewell party should try to make people cry, but if you see people sleeping during a party, something is seriously wrong.

Couldn't bear it any longer, and left for tuition, as it was Mr Ng's birthday.

Rushed to sign a card for him, inclusive of a amath question, which the answer was his age!

Halfway during tuition, his ex-student come and he went out of the room. Sheral (?) and co. switched of the lights, and prepared a cake with a pikachu! so cute, haha.

Once he re-entered the room, they opened party poppers at him, and can clearly see that he was very surprised. Sang Birthday song for him, before Zhenyan 'represented' us to give him our present + card!

After that, I rushed for the 2nd last lesson of CC.

Friday 6 June

School ended early again, and went for the last lesson of CC.

It was the last lesson in the whole course, and it had brought many wonderful memories (:

When to school to meet up with Alicia and Qingru to go with Mr Ryan Chia to ECP and get latest insights of the upcoming SC camp.

Heard of his plans to improve SC, and the plans are sure big.

The camp has programs that are quite new, like build sandcastles?

(He pointed to people building sandcastles at ECP and said, "All these are Low class sandcastles, you all will be building much higher level sandcastles!")

The ending of the camp he and Mr Chua planned, was WOW!

Haha, seems that the camp is related to ***D to a huge extent, of those plans that I know of!

Those not going are going to miss out... alot!

Had the strangest FRC today. No Mr Soon, No Mr Chua. We all expected not to be FRC, then Yijie came up and told us that Mrs Mabel Yee would be conducting FRC!

Kinda unexpected,even when the William tell ended, everyone was like, not ready? including the whole school.

Bio Skill 3 Mock SPA was okay, cos there's only 1 teacher covering the whole LT, and everyone knows how answers can be spread around easily.

During recess, Me, Shihao and Chowhan walked out of school to go lucky bread and get some food. Then we had the chance to eat waffle in front of other people! They felt damn suanned man, can smell but can't eat!

Throughout the SAPs held in LT1, people were slacking, especially those with electronic devices. Played one match of bleach with CH, Byakuya(Me) vs Hitsugaya(CH). Was losing throughout, till Byakuya's imba (but nerfed already) Bankai gave me some false hope. Till lost though, but by a narrow margin.

In the end, Mr Gary Chua confiscated someone's PSP, with a soccer game inside. At the end of SAP, we asked him to play the PSP, he really did, and we crowded around him! So funny, CH asking him to shoot pass all that, and making comments, and Mr Chua was like, don't kb.

And what Leeann wrote on my hand yesterday,till now can't be erased! lol.

the tie flag part was super funny. natalie and shiwee asked henry to tie slowly, so that they could catch up. So henry tied super slowly, and was still faster then them! power of tying since sec1 huh.

Oh no! I think I better shift my expected results down for all subjects by a least 2 grades. >.<

Finally after 4 years, English was marked like a English paper. More strict with everything, and only god knows how I can get 7/10 for task fulfillment for situational writing in the past. =x

My English result is an E8. But that's only 95% of the marks, as the final 5% comes from correction, which is supposed to help us pass. Hope this and some errors in marking will see me pass.

At least, I passed 1 language,HCL! At least it can be counted as L1! Haha, totally off-form in summary, but at least passed! Not totally happy, just satisfied. The teacher counted wrongly by 5 marks in section A sia, make me feel that I screwed up. -.-

Anyway, a C6 is not a good result, but at least pass lah.

Finally, my first SS pass in like 2 years! Still got E.hist though... Must pray and pray..

So far: L1R1= 14pts T.T

Congrats to Zhenming, for getting 42.5/50 in section B for HCL, and was it 84 or 87 for overall? Wah seh, IMBA!

My expected results for my MYE:

English: C6
Well, everyone has been averaging C5-C6 in EL exams, and I feel that this shouldn't be any different. I screwed up summary and compo, which is essentially 75% of the paper. So, i guess its bye to B3 for MYE.

Combined Humans: B4
I don't know why, but I'm feeling a little luckier with CH. SS has partially screwed due to time management. I think i can scrape a pass with SS. EH was slightly better, mayb due to the SEQs that came out a few times in practice and exams?

Amath: A1
Unless there is careless mistakes in almost every question.

Emath: A2
Totally wasn't in thinking mood in P2. Drew wrong graph, did wrong working. Argh!

Chemistry: A1
Easier paper than expected, so i expect A1 to come with many others in the level.

Physics: C6
Must really pray hard for this one. Super hard paper, coupled with lack of practice, and I'm praying for only a pass.

Biology: B3
They told us which topics were coming out for P2, and if i can't even get pass a C, i think i suck terribly at bio.

HCL: C6
Standard paper, standard marks, standard hoping for pass.

L1R5= 17 points! Super lousy, but saved from relegation into PUMP zone! (i hope!)

CCL March Camp 2008 is over.

How I remember, just 1 year ago, Sec4s 07/08 were executing the March Camp 2007.

Those sleepless nights. Those stressful moments. Those 'high' feelings.

And look how far we come, and now its time for us to go.

Thank you MCC (March Camp Committee)! for providing us with such a wonderful chapter in SC life.

The goalkeeper is stranded in no man's land. The striker has the ball in front of an empty net. He mockingly gestures to the goalkeeper, before attempting to strike a tricky a ball into the goalposts, as though there were 5 people guarding the posts. The ball seemed to curl , and was rising, probably to the top corner, the striker thought.

WRONG. The ball agonisingly few metres high and wide. Instead of the striker laughing at the goalkeeper, it's the striker's turn to be laughed at.

Moral of the story: Don't gei kiang if you not up to standard. Don't anyhow whack the ball whenever you get chance, too. Think and aim properly before shooting. Best still, if you cannot shoot, then don't shoot.

24 jan, was the release of O level results, and also my birthday.

Me and zhenming walked towards old block from 1st floor.
Met kanglong along the way, and he followed us to old block.
From 1st floor till 3rd floor, we only saw zuoer doing duty (on 1st floor).
I was like, ZZZ? how come only 1/6 ppl turn up for duty?

I was wrong, all my section members were already gathered at 4th, waiting for me!
After awhile, zuoer, kev,kk, qr,nat,clar to come up and join us!
They sang birthday song for me (kk led the song!), and shook hands with me!

After that in class, Mr Chia made the whole class sing birthday song for me!
Now i know how Kristine felt when Ms Lam made us sing for her birthday. XD

Sec1 Orientation's over.

It wasn't the best I could hope for, during the parts I was involved in.
And I've heard worst for the parts we ccls weren't involved in, so i guess we showed the sec1s what true ccls are made of :)

Cheering-wise, i reckon the time given is too little. If it wasn't for Kevin's crazy dance-cum-cheer, I doubt we would have taught them that far. THANK YOU LAN FUSHENG!

IMO, teaching them as a class,then move on GA and cheer as a level would be better, but given the 1h time restraint, I'm happy we made the most of it!

For CCA day, I wonder why all the same problems occur every year. People 'snatching' sec1s from classes, and over-doing promoting their cca. CCA leaders should be telling their comm/juniors NOT to snatch them away from classes.

I really pity those CCAs which have done alot for CCA day. Problem is, they didn't know that the classes were only allowed 2hrs, no more, to cover the whole sch. And the students cannot go in and 'try-out' abit of the CCA.

The 2hrs only rule made it difficult for us too. We walked past CCA booths, but i guess the juniors didnt have enough time to browse through all the CCAs, some were even having the 'sian, when can we move on' look.

Had section 3 outing. Met Kevin, Bano and Rachel before meeting Kanglong at Tampines Mall.

We paid $35 for some buffet, which isn't worth it. Had it been $20+, still quite acceptable la.

Darn all those increasing taxes!

And I thought Kevin was already a super eater. And yet, someone beat him, none other than BANO! Before I even took a plate, he already had 3 plates full of food on his table! ZZZ..

Almost everything, Bano could clear within 2 bites, including a 'pregnant' fish, some sort of Japanese delicacy (i dunno whats the exact name though).

Kanglong: OMG! How am I supposed to eat this? *starts scraping some flesh off*
Bano: It's all eggs la, just eat can already.
Kanglong: Huh? So many ah? Even head also have! *ZZZ*
Bano:*takes another fish and stuffs the whole fish, head to tail, in his mouth with 2 bites
Rest: *LOL-ed*

We crapped about random stuff, from NJC to kangkiat to nightwalk, and joined by Derrick and Qianyun.

Lol, i just realised that Rachel supports Liverpool! Haha, alot of liverpool supporters in ccl board.

Only god knows whether Man U or Liverpool will win tonight.

We went to Grandlink to play "balls, sticks and holes", AKA Pool, after Rachel left.

Well, throughout the outing, we had many crazy ideas for the next outing.

They are (not in any order of preference)

1. Go cut hair together! All cut the same hairstyle!
2. Take MRT from Pasir Ris to Boon Lay.. and back!
3. Visit other section members who are absent (be it at work or at home!)

Well, that basically sums up our section outing!
